Philanthropy

TNK-BP in Ukraine bases its charitable activity on the principles of humanism and beneficence, and conducts this activity pursuant to the law of Ukraine, On Charity and Charitable Organization (No. 531/97 — BP dated September 16, 1997).

Charitable aid rendered is targeted and addressed. First of all, it is directed at supporting the inhabitants and organizations of the regions where the Company focuses its operations — in particular, the city of Lisichansk, communities in the Lugansk region and the city of Kiev.

The Company renders its charitable aid, first and foremost, to sick and poor children, elderly people and health service institutions.

Primary goals of charitable aid:

• support of the most unprotected strata of the population; those who need special care and help (sick children, orphans, elderly people, as well as those who are limited in the realization of their rights and legal interests due to physical or other defects);
• financing the needs of state budget organizations — such socially significant objects as hospitals, orphanages, old people’s homes, educational and rehabilitation institutions, etc.;
• rendering systematic charitable aid to the Ukrainian Association of Employees and Veterans of the Oil-Refining and Petrochemical Industry;
• rendering aid to charitable organizations.
