TNK-BP Commerce LLC (Kyiv) representing the interests of oil and gas company TNK-ÂĐ in Ukraine is disappointed with the disruption of the oil auction held at the platform of the Ukrainian Interbank Currency Exchange (UICE, Kyiv) and believes that the bidders were deprived of the equal access to resources.
“Initially the crude was offered for sale from reservoirs of CJSC "UkrTatNafta” (Kremenchug refinery), even the oil produced in February 2010,” Dmitriy Zverev, the press secretary of TNK-ÂĐ Commerce LLC, notes. He expressed his surprise with this decision. “It is unclear why can't they sell oil directly from deposits? This would allow ensuring oil transportation to any refinery in Ukraine as required by the December resolution of the Cabinet (the decree dated December 23, 2009 on changes to the procedure of conduction of oil auctions)”, he stressed. The company states that creation of conditions for a fair competition of selling Ukrainian oil proved to be a failure so far. “We expect the corresponding conclusions to be made and the next auction to be held under the equal transparent competition,” Mr. Zverev summed up.Source: Interfax-Ukraine
