In 2006 about 3 420 000 tons of oil were pumped through the Odessa-Brody Oil Pipeline in the reverse mode. For the whole time of existence of this reverse route as on December 31, 2006 over 10 220 000 tons of crude oil were pumped, and Ukraine had earned over $130.4 mln in transit payments and harbor dues.
Summing up the results for 2006 the State Committee on Consumer Standards graded the work of the Ukrainian fuel stations as very poor. The newspaper asked the experts how to avoid fuelling low-quality fuel and other problems at the Ukrainian fuel stations. The main thing is a right selection of a fuel station, i.e. it is better to use the fuel stations working under widely known trade mark.
ŇNĘ-BP intends to invest $300 mln in development of Lisichansk oil refinery by 2012 (including $40 mln in 2006, which is by $14 mln more, than in 2005, in 2007 — about $60 mln).
The situation in which the Ukrainian oil refineries landed after cancellation of the taxes for import of the oil products, made the oil processing companies to seriously think about ways of survival in the new conditions. The first company to choose the only possible way – improvement of quality of the oil products in order to the expand the market – became "LINIK", led by the marketing strategy of TNK-BP Commerce.
"TNK-BP Ukraine" announced the development plans of the Lisichansk oil refinery. Apart from improvement of oil products quality and increasing the oil processing depth, special attention will be paid to the issues of production safety and ecology.
