Loyalty at a moderate price
Virtually all large companies in Ukraine are engaged in charity on various scales. Among the great number of social programs, a wide distribution has been given to projects, directed onto the protection and provision of children, usually, with an emphasis on the financial assistance and health care. For instance, «Joy of childhood — free movements» program, initiated by TNK-ÂÐ Ukraine, is directed onto the provision of medical and rehabilitation assistance to children, having organic lesions of the central nervous system. This project was commenced in 2006 and has been intended for four years; at that the annual contribution of the company into this project states for 800 thousand US dollars. Another initiative — «Health of mother and child» program — has existed since 2002. The company has undertaken the obligations to finance this program in the amount of 1,2 million US dollars within the framework of the memorandum, signed in 2005 with the US Agency for International Development (USAID).
