Alexander Gorodetsky: in August 2005 oil prices will be higher than in July
President of LLC TNK-BP Ukraine Alexander Gorodetsky stated that the oil prices in August 2005 will be higher than in July. "Firstly, in August Russia raises the oil export duties when exporting from Russia to Ukraine. Secondly, it is already known, that LLC "LUKOIL" plans to shutdown the Odessa Oil Refinery for a major overhaul, but there is no information whether the Drohobych Oil Refinery will start working. The issue about the Kherson Oil Refinery remains as well open", - noted Alexander Gorodetsky. According to the President of TNK-BP Ukraine, exactly due to the mentioned facts the Lisichansk Oil Refinery will face a serious objective –fill the market with high-quality goods in necessary quantities. "If we say that we shall manufacture larger quantities of A-95 gasoline after commissioning of the isomerization unit at the Lisichansk Oil Refinery, this will only stimulate stabilization of prices", - stated Alexander Gorodetsky. The Executive Vice-President of TNK-BP in charge of downstream operations Anthony Considine underlined, that it made no sense to export the oil products to Europe, since this market was oversaturated. According to statistics the market of gasoline in European countries has surplus of 20 mln tons of gasoline. "First of all we are interested in the USA market, - said the Executive Vice-President TNK-ÂÐin charge of downstream operations. –However, we have a top priority task for us, - to satisfy the needs of the gasoline market in Ukraine for 100%».
