ТNК-ВР Ukraine welcomes the decision of the Ministry of Transportation to reduce the harbor dues at the Yuzhniy Sea Oil Terminal, however believes it to be “indeterminate”

LLC “ТNК-ВР Ukraine” welcomes the decision of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications to render 30% discounts for all kinds of the harbor dues (apart from the administrative dues) for the vessels calling for oil loading at the Yuzhniy Sea Oil Terminal, however believes it to be “indeterminate”. “For sure this decision will improve the economy of the Yuzhniy, but will not equalize the prices of its services with those of the Odessa port”, - said the Vice-President of “ТNК-ВР Ukraine” Alexander Grabovsky. He underlined that the harbor dues at the Yuzhniy Sea Oil Terminal were twice as much as the dues at the Odessa port before the decision about discount was taken. Alexander Grabovsky noted, that as before “ТNК-ВР Ukraine” believes that to make the route Brody-Odessa more attractive the Ministry of Transportation has to render 50% discount for the harbor dues of the Yuzhniy and added that his company would carry on working in this direction.
