The oil products: “manual” regulation will not stop price growth
Immediately after the meeting with the Executive Director of ŇNĘ-ÂĐ Herman Khan the Ukrainian Prime-Minister Yuliya Timoshenko declared that ŇNĘ-ÂĐ will reduce the prices for the oil products at its fuel stations to the level set by the Ministry of Economy. Besides, according to her words an agreement was reached about supplies of the diesel fuel by TNK-BP to the agroindustrial complex at a preferential price of 2400 UAH per ton. LLC ŇNĘ-ÂĐ Ukraine had nothing else to do as just to confirm that the Lisichanskiy Oil Processing Plant would sell the diesel fuel to the agroindustrial complex at a preferential price and will freeze the prices at its own fuel stations at the level set by the Decree of the Ministry of Economy. The company cited its President Alexander Gorodetsky: “Our partner Trading House “ŇNĘ-Ukraine” will apply all efforts to normalize the situation in the jobber network as far as its influence upon the price formation processes will allow”. At the same time he underlined that the prices at the fuel stations would be frozen until May 1. “We could not make an arrangement for a more longer perspective with the Government since we have significant conceptual differences as far as the model of the oil products market in Ukraine is concerned”, – stated Alexander Gorodetsky.
